Brindl ("Brindl," "we," "us") is a scheduling, day-board, and billing app for a dog daycare and boarding business. This policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and the choices available to you. Brindl is operated by Poolside Studios. Who uses Brindl
Brindl is a tool for the business's owners and staff. Accounts are created by the business for its own team members. The app also stores information about the business's clients (pet owners) and their dogs, which the business enters and is responsible for.
Information we handle
- Account information — the name, email address, and password you use to sign in. Passwords are handled through Google Firebase Authentication and are not visible to us.
- Business and client records you enter — pet owners' names, phone numbers, email addresses, and addresses; dog details such as breed, date of birth, weight, feeding, allergy, medication, behavior, and vaccination notes; bookings and schedules; billing status, credits, and reimbursements; and any notes or photos you add.
- Technical and diagnostic data — Firebase may collect limited information such as device type, app version, IP address, and basic usage or crash data to keep the service running reliably.
How we use information
- To provide the app's core features — scheduling, the daily check-in/out board, billing, and notes.
- To sign you in and keep your team's data in sync across devices in real time.
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the app.
Where information is stored
Brindl uses Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore), running on Google Cloud infrastructure, to authenticate users and store and sync data. Data in transit is protected with standard HTTPS/TLS encryption. A copy of your data is also cached on your device so the app works offline. How information is shared
We do not sell your information or share it for advertising. Information is shared only with Google Firebase as our infrastructure provider, and where required by law. Your business's data is scoped to your organization and is not shared with other Brindl organizations.
Information about third parties
Brindl lets the business record details about its clients (pet owners) and their pets. The business is responsible for having an appropriate basis to enter and store this information and for handling any requests from those individuals.
Data retention and deletion
We keep information for as long as an account and organization remain active. You can edit or delete records within the app, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at poolsidestudios@mac.com.
Security
Access is limited to signed-in members of your organization. Roles restrict what staff can see and do, and billing is further protected behind a PIN. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
Children
Brindl is a business tool and is not directed to children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
